Elizabeth Kurian is the Chief Functionary of Tulsi Trust, an organisation dedicated to eliminating avoidable blindness and visual impairment. She serves as Co-Chair of the World Health Organization’s Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for the Global SPECS 2030 initiative and is a Trustee of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness.

Previously, Elizabeth was the Chief Executive Officer of Mission for Vision and held senior leadership positions at Sightsavers, including Global Director for Advocacy and CEO-India. Her earlier experience includes senior research functions at Nielsen India and the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

With expertise in strategy, policy, and systems change, Elizabeth has led large-scale programmes that have shaped both national and global health policy and practice. She is a published researcher, award recipient, and an active member on several boards and advisory committees.

Elizabeth holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition (university gold medallist), has pursued an Executive Programme in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, and has completed management programmes from the Harvard Business School and the Open University Business School, UK.
